Shiva is a passionate artist. The vibrancy and ebullience so evident in Shiva’s art are a reflection of her creative abilities and her love of life. Shiva is from Iran, land of poetry and civilization dating back to 4000 B.C. She has been working with clay for over 15 years and her pieces are hand-painted and hand sculpted.
Clay Flower Sculpture
In creating these fascinating and lovely floral sculptures, Shiva uses only premium quality flower clays made by her from scratch. Their unique properties enable her to execute the finest of detail and thinnest petals, leaves, etc. Along with an assortment of clay art tools, Shiva can achieve all the intricate veining, subtle textures, frills, curls, ripples and fringes unique to each flowering species.
The process of making clay flowers is both labor intensive and gratifying. The finished florals are quite delicate and extremely life-like. It is no surprise that many people have gone on to actually smell the blossoms! With the simplest of care, they can last a lifetime and always remains in bloom. A light dusting periodically with a soft artist or blush-type brushes are all that is required. Please note that extreme sunlight or water is not recommended.
